Carrying a prestigious Hunter Douglas Gallery status, Simply Smart not only specializes in window coverings, but offers an array of other interior design services as well. Owned and operated by industry professionals with over 70 years experience, Simply Smart’s founders came together out of a passion for interior design and a desire to better serve the Edmonton market. Their motto since inception has been and will remain that “we are more than a business, we are community and friends.”
Dianne Hopkin
Born and raised in Edmonton, Dianne learnt the value of hard work and entrepreneurship early in life. She found her passion at a young age in textiles, fashion, and helping people realize their creative visions. She first received her start in commercial window coverings with RGO. Later, Dianne entered the residential market with Walls Alive. Over time, she managed a large territory as a Western Canadian sales representative for Levolor. Even after 30 years in interior design, Dianne’s greatest satisfaction is still assisting homeowners with all their interior decorating needs.
Bringing passion, enthusiasm, and integrity to all aspects of her work, Dianne utilizes her creative instincts, knowledge and understanding to provide exceptional customer service. Her collaborative approach begins with listening to the client’s needs and constraints, establishing trust and providing honest, appropriate, and smart solutions along the way.
A caring daughter, wife, and mother of three active daughters, Dianne believes in a work/life balance. When she is not at the office, you will likely find her volunteering at her community garden, teaching elementary students about the importance of growing food through sustainable practices, or nurturing and supporting local business and art.
